Rumour: Metroid Prime 4 Could Have Online Multiplayer According To LinkedIn Evidence

More possible information regarding the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4 on the Nintendo Switch has surfaced. The game could feature an online component according to a LinkedIn page from one of the developers. It wouldn’t be too far-fetched to imagine that the game will have some form of online multiplayer in this day and age, but we shall have to wait and see.

    1. Maybe you should be someone other than Hux. He got made such a fool of with the banter with Poe in that scene. lol That is the scene on the bridge when he’s having a back and forth with Poe, isn’t it?

      1. It truly was a mistake to make FF and putting that minigame which only made things worse than what they already were in 2015.

  1. This would be ace, but let’s just concentrate on a deep immersive single player adventure and then dlc multiplayer. ( this is more likely because it would make more money for the title.)

  2. Metroid doesn’t really need multiplayer but as long as it doesn’t detract from the main single player experience I don’t mind. This could just be some sort of high score leaderboards though

      1. Some? For me, E3 2015 has made me have more than some. Most of the time I spend thinking about Nintendo is full of nothing but concerns. :/ No faith or trust in them whatsoever, anymore.

      2. Reply to Infinite Kalas X3: I see your point, I admit that a lot of nintendo fans have lost their trust in Nintendo after so many mistakes that they made in the past. Hopefully the Switch and Metroid Samus Returns are signs that they are returning to the way they once were.

  3. I’m not sure about this. All I’m concerned about is the single player. I want it to be a damn good one? If we want multiplayer in Metroid Prime, just completely remaster Hunters with Prime 1-3 before Prime 4. I swear to God if it’s that fucking Blast Ball shit again…

      1. Yes, Its truly sad that they couldn’t see that if FF become a hit, we may have never had a good Metroid game Like Samus Returns and Prime 4. By the way the Nintendo video of FF now has 91k dislikes XD

      2. Really? I heard Nintendo disabled the Like/Dislike feature for the video. Must have reactivated it. Or that was for another youtube video of the game.

      3. Actually it’s the same video of Nintendo when they announced FF for the first time. It seems they reactivated it XD

  4. Metroid Prime hunters had only one good thing going for it, that was the online multiplayer. Tbf I would wholly welcome a decent online like in hunters, cause the story will finish in 4 at some point and I love my replay value.

  5. Yes. This sounds very legit. I believe something that gets underestimated is the fact that Nintendo will have a paid online service sometimes this year and needs as much content as possible for that. So expect more stuff like this happening and maybe a quite big focus on online at the upcoming E3.

      1. ||Actually it did, they complained that there was not enough time to make my world as diverse as they intended to, a big part was due to them wasting their time with that useless feature and then the idiotic deadline they had…||

      2. Funny. The game felt big enough and remarkably worked as intended for only 2 years of development. I guess it’s because of the “bleak” design that’s lacking diversity, people complained about it but isn’t that the point of the game located on a planet that just got impacted by the Phazon meteor and then split into two dimensional rifts? Of course the planet is suppose to look damaged and near lifeless since the Ing (your dark buddies that got wrecked to shit by my favorite Samus Aran) we’re wasting everything. I could care less about the multiplayer and that’s the thing. It’s just another mode that didn’t cause any harm or foul on Prime 2. What did bother me about Prime 2 was the ammo system for Beams..ammo for energy weapons…what the fuck? Also, FUCK THE BOOST AND SPIDER GUARDIANS TO HELL!

      4. Well, despite what gripe you have on them making Prime 2, you should thank them for making you THE best Metroid boss ever. XP It’s been an honor admiring your Spider-Slayer design and kick you ass for one of the most ambitious power ups around.

Warp Guardian? The fuck? Screw Attack? More like “I’ll screw you”. lol Aieon Guardians? Oh great, more stupid gimmicks to deal with. XP

      7. Except you and the Ing have no other way to transcend through with your primitive ways. Plus, Phazon is destroyed so that puts you depressed Inglings shit out of luck.

      9. Psh. Omega Pirate is a giant pushover, much like the BotW Lynels. I kick all they asses with ease. Ridley, on the other hand, still gives me trouble on occasion.

  6. If this game has Hunters level of multiplayer, then it might cause the single player to be lacking. I’d get a smaller studio to work on the multiplayer aspect so that the crappy, unskilled developers at Bandai can focus all their attention to making a good single player experience.

  7. I mean I didn’t mind playing the Metroid Prime 2 Echos multiplayer with my friends and family, it was acutally pretty fun and creative. It was awesome to see who was able to control Samus the best. And knowing that aiming isnt an issue since its lock on. It will technically be based off of movement and finger trigger.
