Nintendo provides updated sales figures for best-selling Switch software

Nintendo has announced their sales figures this morning along with updated numbers for Switch software. The following are updated sales numbers as of 31st March, 2021 and as you can see Nintendo has shifted an incredible amount of units for its key software on its current platform. The top two games for the system are Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which is an upgraded version of the Wii U game Mario Kart 8 and the newest entry in the charming Animal Crossing franchise, Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Here’s the Switch best-sellers:

  1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 35.39M
  2. Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 32.63M
  3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 23.84M
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 22.28M
  5. Pokémon Sword/Shield – 21.10M
  6. Super Mario Odyssey – 20.83M
  7. Super Mario Party – 14.79M
  8. Pokémon: Let’s Go! – 13.28M
  9. Splatoon 2 – 12.21M
  10. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 10.44M
  11. Ring Fit Adventure – 10.11M
  12. Mario 3D All-Stars – 9.01M
  13. 3D World + Bowser’s Fury – 5.59M

  1. Three of those games are Wii U remakes. Imagine if they would have put some love into the Wii U. How much would have 3d world sold there, how much would New Super Mario Sold. Wii U was a great console, Nintendo destroyed it.

    1. They did put love into the WiiU. 3ds games started to suffer because they put all their main teams on the WiiU and left the small devs and outsource teams on 3ds.

    1. You do realize this list only counts first party games right? Since Nintendo did not develop thrid party games they can’t put them on this list
