Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is releasing this September

Today’s Nintendo Direct has come to a close, and Nintendo revealed a lot of game announces. There were some surprises, but as usual, Nintendo ended it with one last announcement. This time, the game was Xenoblade Chronicles 3. A brand new trailer was shown, along with more information on the game’s release date.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is going to be releasing on the Nintendo Switch later this year, in September. The company did not reveal a more specific release date just yet. Nintendo UK also tweeted the news on their official Twitter account, so we’ve included the tweet they posted for you to check out down below.

  1. The character designs looking better than 2. Oh man… as long as combat is more like 1 and X, I think I’ll be super happy with this game.

  2. You know, since I have not played the first 2 games of the series, maybe Xenoblade Chronicles 3 could be my only time trying out the game for the first time maybe. I have seen many gameplays of both games back in 2017, but I’m willing to try this game out when it launches worldwide.

  3. Looks interesting. I especially like the fact that it’s apparently going to be tying together the endings of Xeno 1 and 2.
I knew it’d be something like that as soon as I saw the Mechonis Sword in the trailer.
I hope the tone of the game is much more like Xeno 1, I didn’t really like Xeno 2’s constant over-reliance on stereotypical anime tropes.

    1. Xenoblade 3 could be my first time trying out the franchise honestly because I didn’t play one of the 2 games in the series but I have seen the gameplay of them a few years ago when Ultimate was revealed to the public.

    1. Oh shit yeah, I didn’t catch that lol.
I saw it was a High Entia, but I didn’t notice she had Melia’s hairstyle until now.

  4. From the reviews I’ve seen “Edge of Eternity” available February 23rd for The Switch has similar gameplay mechanics as Xenoblade. Open world free roam, turn based combat, in depth skill trees etc

Edge of Eternity out just released on PlayStation today and February 23rd for The Switch.
Haven’t played it, but reviews say it has a few graphical bugs during combat, the camera is oftentimes hard to manage. Apparently it looks like a game from the PS2 era, Edge of Eternity looks legit.

  5. Finally! A continuation to the original Xenoblade Chronicles! cries tears of joy Of course, I’ll cry tears of sadness if Melia ends up being the only character from the first to appear. Which is very possible since High Entia do live a lot longer than homs do. Ugh… I hope they don’t pull a bloody Chrono Cross, though!
