Japan: Zelda holds steady at No.1 this week

The latest boxed-video game software and hardware charts have come through from Japan for the week of 12h June, 2023 to 18th June, 2023. There’s no change at the top this week for the critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which sold an additional 31,151 retail copies this week. The No.1 games system remains the Nintendo Switch family of systems, shifting an additional 81,408 units. Here’s the best-sellers this week in the land of the rising sun.

  1. I think switch will be the second pillar of the new console that nintendo will announce. Everyone wants a beefy console and it can’t be mobile because of battery. Just look at the steam deck.

    1. The steam deck is the Sega Game Gear, and the Atari Lynx of this generation. Many before have tried, yet the result is the same. Nintendo IPs are what drives their console sales. Oh, so great games selling consoles still holds. Except maybe for the PS5 that machine was selling with its snake oil lineup.
