One of the games that was announced in the recent Nintendo Partner Direct was Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection. As the name implies, it is a collection containing Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II, which were released in 2004 and 2005 respectively. This year marks 20 years since the original Star Wars Battlefront released.
Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is certainly slated to arrive on March 14th on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam. That said, the collection recently got a listing on the Nintendo Switch eShop. There, it has been officially confirmed that the collection’s file size is 25 gigabytes.

So in other words, we can probably expect another botched physical release on Switch. I doubt they’ll use a 32GB cartridge. Pathetic! Especially in this day and age.
You desperately need to touch some grass my dude.
It really is insanely absurd the way some physical releases are done these days. It’s going to be a NIGHTMARE for future game collectors wanting to try new titles when the Switch eshop is inevitably closed down.
Imagine buying an expensive Switch title in the future, and the cartridge doesn’t even play— no way to download the rest at all. You’re just screwed !
Rogue Squadron please.
YESSS!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSS!!!!!!
Isn’t this the case for the physical Switch version of the Spyro Re-ignited trilogy? Only the first game is actually on the card, the other two must be downloaded?
I ultimately just bought it digital on PS4 after I heard that.
Not a bad file size, even a little more won’t fit on blu ray. In other matters, the lack of space on consoles has been acute for the last few years, which is why some people use services like wow sod power level to avoid clogging up space with boring add-ons.
