Nintendo in process of strengthening relationships with third party publishers

One of the many things Nintendo is currently focused on ahead of launching their next generation console is strengthening its relationships with third party publishers and developers. The reason for this is clear as the more games available the more likely it is to be a success with consumers. Nintendo also relies on some third party developers to create video games for their platforms using the company’s valuable IPs. With a new console on the near horizon, strengthening company ties with publishers and developers is crucial.

          1. True. But still, if ultimate wasted character slots on characters owned by Microsoft of all companies, they might as well waste a character slot on a character that was owned by the current rival that least has seniority.

        1. Neither do a majority of third-party companies represented in Smash. Also, Kratos is in Fortnite, so he has technically been on a Nintendo system. And let’s not forget Lego Horizons Adventures. I’m not saying the next smash bros will have a Sony rep, but never say never. Being negative all the time will only make you perpetually salty in the end. Some people thought Tatoba will never get an upgrade, Mega Man will never be playable in Smash, Digimon Adventure will never come back, and Beast Boy will never kiss Starfire, and look what happened.

  1. Capcom made the cut. That’s all I need to know. It’s a relief to know Sega, Square-Enix, Bandai Namco, and Konami made the cut too.

  2. NIS America, Idea Factory and Falcom have been killing it with Switch support. Glad to see more companies trying their best especially Devolver Digital, they’ve also been killing it.
