Japanese publisher Enterbrain revealed that the latest edition of the popular Professor Layton series shifted an incredible 117,589 copies during the Nintendo 3DS launch in Japan on Saturday, something developer Level 5 will be immensely proud of.

Japanese media corporation the Nikkei is reporting that Nintendo managed to shift an incredible 400,000 Nintendo 3DS consoles during the Japanese launch yesterday.

Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo 3DS Already Hacked For Use With R4 Cards

It appears as though eager hackers have successfully managed to get R4 piracy cartridges working on the just-released Nintendo 3DS.

Whilst the R4 cartridge is unable to backup or pirate Nintendo 3DS releases, those with the illegal R4 card will still be able to play original Nintendo DS games that are currently stored on the device using the Nintendo 3DS.

According to Bloomberg around 2,000 eager gamers gathered outside Yodobashi Camera Co.’s store in Akihabara, Tokyo in an effort to secure themselves a Nintendo 3DS. The highly sought after device had reportedly sold out at other retail outlets who had already allocated all their pre-orders, according to deputy shop manager Kazuhiro Kashiwagi.

Nintendo Wii: Raunchy New Party Game For Nintendo Wii

Ubisoft have re-confirmed the release of a ‘sexy party’ game for the Nintendo Wii which is squarely aimed at the mature crowd.

We Dare will include thirty five raunchy party games for players to participate in. These flirtatious games include a strip tease and another mini game which asks players to act out any saucy suggestions that they hear through the Wii-mote speakers. Players will be able to indulge themselves in the game with willing participants from March 11th.

Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo 3DS Developers Having Problems Exploiting The Machines Capabilities

Nintendo 3DS software developers have disclosed to the Wall Street Journal that they still haven’t decided how best to exploit the capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS.

“The next step may be to forget about the way we’ve been designing games and think of a completely new approach only possible with 3-D games. “If making games is like cooking, we haven’t figured out if 3-D is a spice, or maybe a main ingredient.”

Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo Recommends 30 Minute Breaks With the Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo is advising consumers to take a break every thirty minutes whilst playing the Nintendo 3DS in an effort to avoid players from getting motion sickness whilst playing the device in 3D.

Japanese newspaper Nikkei has stated that some developers have actually been told by Nintendo to introduce “game break messages” into their games to inform 3DS users that it’s time to take a break from whatever title it is they’re playing.
