Here’s Some High Quality Footage Of The Metal Gear Solid 3D Demo For Nintendo 3DS

One of the members of BitBlock has posted some high quality footage of the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D demo that’s available on the Japanese Nintendo 3DS eShop. Josh from BitBlock says that despite the demo being rather promising, the framerate on the game leaves a lot to be desired.

    • Hopefully, that’s due to the camera they’re using to record it (or the software, if they’re streaming the video).

  1. Kojima said that it was a full remake, but it looks more like a direct port unlike the E3 2010 tech demo. I guess they’re only doing the controls and the 3D.

    • Actually it doesn’t. The version that came with the HD collection on PS3 is a direct port. With craptastic controls and all. This looks much better. They changed the control scheme the Peace Walker one which is the best 3rd person shooter controls you will get on a handheld without duel thumb sticks.

  2. I’ve never played a Metal Gear Solid game before, but after watching this video, my interest is piqued. I may have to buy it to see what the fuss is all about.

  3. Bad framerate? If it’s worth noting, I might not get it. Or is it talking about the demos framerate (less like, right)?

  4. Yikes, you can really see the frame rate lag near the end. But since it’s a demo of a game that’s not out, it could just be the demo that has a frame rate problem. I guess I’ll wait to hear reviews, cos I like third person shooters (thanks to Uncharted and Tomb Raider) so I wouldn’t mind trying it. My boyfriend also wants it, so it’d be fun for both of us.
