Although the Wii U will release later this year, games are still being developed for the Wii. A Nintendo of America service representative responded to an email regarding future Wii titles, and said that there will be over 100 new games available for the six-year-old console. How many confirmed new Wii games can you name?
maybe the meant 10. lol
Wow 100? Don’t really know if that’s true.
Anyways, look what I found. The Wii U controller… http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/3538/wiiunew.png
WOW nice, how did you find the picture?
i like wii better than xbox 360.i forgot to say that i am not just a nintendo fan.i am a gamer except for playstation marks
*Starts fapping* I find this way too easy to fap to
I can tell that that is a shop.
INteresting, Nintendo supporting wii, wiiU and 3ds
Indeed, That will be amazing.
nintendo trolling itself
Wow! Really? I thought that the Wii died off by now! :O
No, it is supposed to be supported after Wii U as well
I guess that’s not a bad thing ^^;;
But i doubt over 100+
But there will be families that still own a Wii
and aren’t so interested in Wii U
Sorry, I don’t believe it :-(
Not impossible. Most of those 100 are shovelware, of course (every console has ’em). Off the top of my head, I can remember Pikmin 2, The Last Story and Dragon Quest X are interesting games still coming for the system this year. There’s also that Fatal Frame one, but it hasn’t been confirmed out of Japan yet.
OK, even really optimistically, 100 is a hard number… :/
The is also the Kirby Anniversary compilation.
Interesting, but most likely half to just about most of them would be nothing but shovelware anyway.
This includes shovelware, yes?
Well at E3 2011 they did say the Wii will still be sold along side the Wii U, this might be the number of games that will come out for the system after the Wii U launch.
Sort of a send off for the Wii before the Wii U takes over
shovelware?
Nintendo did say they will most likely stick with motion controls for a new Zelda game, even though a new one is quite a while off, I can see them doing a port for the wii, like twilight princess. Just scale down the graphics and all. I can see the next game will be big, as in the world and such but xenoblades looks awesome on the wii.
Not surprised! They are still making DS games of big tittles like Pokemon even with the 3DS on the market. But I think it can be a good thing but sometimes can be bad at the same time!
If they wanted to start selling the 3ds like hot cakes, they’d make black and white 2 3ds exclusive.
Ninja Breadman 2
Mario & Sonic Sports
Kirby’s Epic Yarn 2
Talk about flogging a dead horse! LOL
There must be a mistake or misunderstanding surely’? I’d expect people to keep releasing new games of course, but with the Wii U so close I really don’t see 100 new games being made
You see my fellow internet user, this is the reason why:
The Wii U will be backward compatible with the Wii so you can play Wii games on the Wii U. Therefore many third party developers will release Wii games at the beginning at the Wii U’s life cycle to reach a larger public.
All games that started development some time ago and shovelware. Its not like there are 100wii games starting development just now
I dont believe that.. I don’t see us getting a new main mario/zelda/metroid/whatver game on the wii anytime soon now that the wii u is almost here. And what third party developer would continue make wii games?
That includes downloable games and VC games. The Wii might get the same VC games that the WIi U will get except for gamecube.
God damn! I think this is the biggest owgane ever. I’m lazy to search for some statistics now, but I think it never happened that No.1 sells 10 times more then No.2 on the list.
The Wii games I’m looking forward to is The Last Story, Pandora’s Tower, and Dragon Quest X. I hope they announce Madworld 2 and (I know it’s a long shot) Super Mario Galaxy 3. That would be awesome.
Nintendo Selects – 2 coming this June. It’s also confirmed that DKCReturns and SSBBrawl will be receiving a price cut, probably as a Nintendo Selects.
So that’s 4 already.
There’s probably at least 50 movie/television tie-ins.
Maybe 12 WiiWares.
And the rest are probably Virtual Console games.
They are still making games for the PS2 and DS. As long as the consoles are out there and people by them, they will make games.
OVER 9000!
but seriously, bring on the Wii U already. It’s annoying enough that they’re still making DS games when the 3DS is over 1 year old; continuing with the Wii in the same manner would be just as irritating
Until the Wii reaches at least 100 million consoles sold, I don’t think Nintendo will stop making games for the Wii.
My wish is that they continue making games and selling Wii’s until they can break the PS one’s record of 102 million sold. Come on Wii, let’s do it!!! Don’t give up yet :)

PS3 actually has a gnriwog library of good games whereas the Wii stopped with Brawl. If you can only afford a couple games for the Wii, I suggest Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Smash Bros. Was this answer helpful?
