No Plans For Refurbished Nintendo 3DS And DSi Consoles In UK

3ds_cobalt_blueIf you were hoping to purchase a refurbished Nintendo 3DS or DSi console here in the UK, you may be looking for a long time. Nintendo recently announced via their online store that they would be selling refurbished consoles that had been cleaned, tested and inspected to high standards, but there is unfortunately no plans of seeing this brought to the UK.

“We currently have no plans and have made no announcements for this type of activity in Europe.” – Nintendo UK representative via Eurogamer.

Ah! Heaven Descends Next Week To Nintendo eShop And Nintendo DSi Shop


Ah! Heaven is a platform game in which players try to help a determined soul reach heaven. Although heaven’s gate is open, the soul will not be given a free ride through the sky; it needs to overcome the obstacles in its path to successfully complete its journey to above. Ah! Heaven will land in the Nintendo DSi Shop and the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS on February 7th, and it will cost 200 Points or $1.99.

Two New Nintendo DSi Colours For North America

Nintendo of America has announced via Twitter that it will be launching two new colours which will be available to purchase as early as this week. The two new colours are Matte Red and Matte Blue.

Time for a color refresh! Check out Matte Red & Matte Blue Nintendo DSi coming to retailers as early as this week!


Nintendo Keeps Its Promises

Kotaku has made a list of all announcements and pledges that Nintendo made during E3 2011, and whether they fulfilled their promises. During last year’s E3, Nintendo talked about the eShop for the 3DS and how it will contain a search function and game demos – the promise was kept.

Many plans for The Legend of Zelda’s 25th anniversary were scheduled for all of 2011, which included the symphony orchestras and the release of many Zelda games including the free download of Four Swords – this promise was also kept. There are many more examples on Kotaku’s list and for the most part, Nintendo fulfilled its promises.

Nintendo Slashes Nintendo DSi & Nintendo DSi XL Prices

Two of Nintendo’s top-selling video game systems are getting attractive new prices in North America. Effective May 20, the suggested retail price for the larger Nintendo DSi XL will be $129.99 and the suggested retail price for Nintendo DSi will be $99.99.

Both the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL systems come pre-loaded with a variety of fun software, including Flipnote Studio, Nintendo DSi Camera and Nintendo DSi Sound. Nintendo DSi XL comes with additional pre-installed games and applications, including Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Brain Age Express: Math and Photo Clock.

Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition Commercial

The Pokemon Company has unleashed two new Japanese commercials for the highly anticipated Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition. Nintendo has yet to confirm whether or not there will be a Western release for the game, but we may hear something at E3. Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition comes out in Japan on March 17th.

Naughty Japanese Student Used His Nintendo DSi To Grab A Load Of Upskirt Shots

According to Japanese tabloid Spa! a student was previously busted by a teacher for taking some rather opportunistic upskirt photos of Japanese school girls. When the teacher confiscated the student’s Nintendo DSi he was apparently shocked to see how many female students he had snapped, and was even more shocked to see the student’s penis.

“I discovered a young man using the DS camera to peep on girls at school,” said a 43-year-old male teacher. The teacher apparently confiscated the male student’s DS (the original quote said “DS” and not “DSi”). “Saved on the DS, there were upskirt photos as well as photos of the student’s own penis. The entire staff was sickened by what we found.”
