Nintendo Still Won’t Confirm Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition For The West

Technology publication Venture Beat contacted Nintendo to find out whether or not the Kyoto based company had any plans to release Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition in the West. The Nintendo representative that Venture Beat spoke to said that no announcements have been made regarding a Western release for Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition, but encouragingly they didn’t completely rule out it out either.

  1. Well, they essentially confirmed that other one – Tretta or whatever it is, so I heard

But we may be seeing this soon anyway, I don’t mind too much either way, if it comes out here, I’ll get a copy, if not, then I’m fine

    1. I noticed that…

Nintendo are starting to give games and consoles to europe first and America after.

Don’t you notice that? Don’t forget that they are not thinking of releasing games in America or Europe.

Also remember Europe had to wait 6 months after NA to get Super Smash Bros Melee and always used to wait longer.

  2. Well, the fact that they didn’t flat out deny it, means that it probably will come to the West, or they’re currently just going to wait to see how well it sells in Japan to decide that.

  3. The answer to why they r going Europe over NA is because most of NA is in a recession, idk if Europe is in the same situation but it won’t help sales if everyone is broke

    1. The Majority of gamers are in North America as well as in Europe.

Wow, theres a recession so why did so many gamers why Skyrim, Mario Kart 7 and Modern Warfare 3?

The recession is effecting the hardware sales primarly… some bit in the games.

    1. Except it has the word “Pokemon”. Which will help guarantee sales. Would you buy SSB if it only mentioned Ice Climbers? Probably not, you bought it for all the others appearing. Which is what will push this game to sell. The fact it has Pokemon.

      1. Mario kart is named mario kart even though it has Donkey Kong in it which is a massive nintendo franchise.

They named it Mario Kart and not Donkey Kong Kart though because more people would buy it because it had the name Mario in the title.

  5. I don’t really care about this game, even though I am a massive Pokemon fan. But if people want this game, I will have no complaints about it coming here :)

  6. It bothers me that Nintendo won’t confirm some games to be released outside of Japan for some time. There are games that are part of Operation Rainfall having to wait a while for a US release. Then there are games that still haven’t got a word of release outside of Japan and yet haven’t got as big of attention from the crowd, notably Fire Emblem Shin Monshou no Nazo for Nintendo DS.

  7. One question. Is it up to the Nintendo headquarters to bring it here or is it Nintendo of America’s job? I always thought that NOA could bring whatever game it wanted over from Japan if it wanted. Isn’t that the point in having different headquarters is to localize the games from one region to another?

  8. Personally, after playing through one or two N64 Nobunaga titles I’m looking forward to seeing some strategy tied into the pokemon series. If anyone feels the sudden urge to start a petition for international release, be sure to let me know! :D
