Coins play a big part in most Mario games and New Super Mario Bros. 2 is not an exception. If you collect a total of one million coins, according to Nintendo, you’ll receive something special. We already know that the upcoming game will support downloadable content but there’s more than one reason to connect your Nintendo 3DS to the internet. If you enable SpotPass for the game, every coin you collect will be added to the Worldwide Coin Total, along with other New Super Mario Bros. 2 players. Every single coin you collect will be added to an overall total.

You don’t need to get any VR in Mario Kart. Just get to 20,000 coins total and you’ll have all the parts.

Though I’m a bit worried about the fact we send the data via SpotPass. Don’t our 3DS need to be in Sleep Mode for that?
So that means, in the first hour of the game release, most people wouldn’t have sent their coin total yet so it wouldn’t have reached at least a million within the first hour.
Actually, the 3DS can recieve both Streetpass and Spotpass while the 3DS is open and active
This reminds me too much of Chinpokomon where catching them all would lead to the reveal of the “primary main objective.”

My source, which would like to remain anonymous has told me that there will be a ‘secret’ negative world (Which will be a glitch purposely put into world 5). All the coins in the negative world will be worth negative 1 coin. And people will be able to use this to reduce the worldwide coin total.
It can also cause coin cancer if attempted or so I heard.

Nintendo better not abused the DLC feature, like some other publishers,,,, *cough* Activision *cough* capcom…….
Oh, they won’t. They’ll ensure the DLC is optional, not manditory compared to other publishers. New Super Mario Bros 2. will have it’s DLC worked on after the game is released. Fire Emblem: Awakening will also showcase DLC, even though it’s merely optional.

Okay that’s too over-exaggerated. I mean, a level would take like maybe 300 seconds (I’m not really sure how many seconds a level would limit you) and that’d be like 5 minutes! And you can’t collect a million coins in one level!
