Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D Lacks Idle Animations

donkey_kong_gorilla_ds

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is essentially a port of Wii game Donkey Kong Country Returns. But, for some reason, the updated version excludes idle animations, which were included in the original game. In the Nintendo 3DS game, Donkey Kong doesn’t play with a Nintendo DS when he’s left alone for a bit. At least Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will have eight new stages and a new mode. The game arrives in stores and in the Nintendo eShop on May 24th.

    1. Uhh Helloo! This really pisses me off because what mother and I loved about the wii version was just sitting there watching donkey jerk around and dance and shizz like dat and i’d watch it with mother instead of play the game because i love her and watching the idle animations was better than the actual game.

      1. What’s up with you and all of this MOTHER talk? Is Ben Sanders supposed to be someone famous or something?

        1. Sky Grounder [@ Wii U]

I’m pretty sure he’s impersonating a person he knows and hates, and is trying to give him a bad name

    2. Not a deal breaker but not cool lol its been part of the series since 1 or 2. Like dixie blowing bubble gum haha.

  1. I didn’t even know he did that in the first place. Guess I was too busy playing the game.

  2. Well, think about it, what do you do when you’re not playing your 3DS? You close it! No point in animation that no one will see.

    1. Did you play it on the Wii? Alot of people didnt. I think thats the idea. If it costs them barely anything to put it on 3DS, why not?
It’s not like they released a game then i duno, had a Super or Ultimate version hidden to be released a few months later, which isn’t optional DLC, just another full $60 game.

    1. Because it will be weird, like inception level of weirdness, if the 3DS Donkey Kong pull out a 3DS on the 3DS and start playing with himself.

  3. Things like that we’re fun but never had the wii one passed it up due 2 brief lapse in sense in moving 2 Xbox neglecting my wii stupid but I like my racing games and Xbox is where there at ( forza sires ) back 2 DK its not a deal breaker like a comment before not often u sit idle for long with ds battery saving so close ds lol but Nintendo plz bring out homegrown racing games 2 rival the likes of forza and gt not just ports of need for speed then won’t need 2 neglect WiiU :(

  4. Oh yeah, that’s a fucking serious problem! THANK GOD there are new levels included to compensate for this unholy act :/
Seriously, sometimes I think this site is just trolling!

  5. And the game doesn’t even run at 60fps like the Wii version and it looks like absolute shit on the 3ds.Failure of a port

  6. Omg! First the fire emblem feet that rarely anyone notices and now a animation that takes a 3ds to be in low power time to play? Man i think i should not buy it …. NAH.
