A minor system update for Nintendo 3DS has gone live. Version 7.1.0-16U is now available for download and adds further improvements to overall system stability. Other minor adjustments have also been made to enhance the user experience, according to Nintendo. The last major 3DS firmware upgrade added support for Nintendo Network IDs, Miiverse and removed the limit to system transfers. The Wii U was recently given a small system update, too.

I’m guessing this update kinda mirrors the Wii U update, which added the ability to upload the screenshot of the suspended software to the Web Browser instead of just Miiverse.
It would make sense, but it’s just a guess.

I haven’t checked but I hope this lat wiiU update allows you to play wii games on the gamepad without a tv and having the wiiU set to hdmi.

Yeah, I might be wrong but I believe that update happened when 3DS miiverse was added, or the one before that, but they did get rid of the 5 transfer only limit.

Are you signed into your Nintendo Network ID on your 3DS? Cos that’s the only way it’ll show up. Otherwise, you may need to contact Nintendo customer service.
