Here’s Some Gameplay Footage Comparing Mario Kart Wii And Mario Kart 8

The wonderful team over at GameXplain have produced some gameplay footage looking at the comparison between Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 8. A track loved by many, Moo Moo Meadows takes to the stage in the video above, where we can see a number of differences between the two games. The artistic design in Mario Kart 8 has been generously improved, of course, with a number of details such as the various windmills added to the background.

GameXplain has also uploaded a couple of other track comparisons, including Cheep Cheep Beach and Rainbow Road 64. Mario Kart 8 is set to get racers heart’s thumping when it launches for the Wii U on May 30 in both North America and Europe.

      1. Wzs excited about mk wiiu but if a lot tracks are repeats. Good that is beyond disappointing. Knowing they r dumping old tracks I’ve plyd a million times already. It dropped my wait by 30%, I was excited but not to replay wii mk. Over again with just a couple new tracks. I might wait a month or so after its release to see peoples review and see how many tracks r repeat tracks,

      1. Game is looking like wiimk with an upgrade. I’ve plyd those tracks a million times nd do not want to play them again. I want new tracks.

        1. They are showing tracks previously released to compare the graphics from the Wii and the Wii U versions of Mario Kart. Of course there is a plethora of brand new tracks being released.

    1. you could just go to the zoo to see a real one. Only a retard plays games to look at a highly detailed cow.

      1. No one is playing it to look at a cow. They noticed the cow, but it’s not why anyone’s playing it. You are a special kind of moron if you didn’t know that.

      2. 1.) You don’t go to a Zoo to see cows you fucking idiot.
2.) You don’t have to be an asshole on a blog to prove you’re an asshole. I’m sure everyone already knows.

      3. ProAHole93,It’s all the little details that come together to create a better more immersive gaming experience.I bet if the the cow’s looked bad you would be the first to point that out. You calling someone a retard for liking all the little detail’s that Nintendo put’s into their games clearly just show’s you don’t understand that’s what gives Nintendo’s games an almost magical quality and makes them so great in the first place. And maybe you shouldn’t be on a site called my Nintendonews.

    2. Stupid environmentally damaging Nintendo… Obviously promoting global warming with stupid cow farts. See how low Nintendo will go, people? DO YOU SEE IT?

      1. Sure, cows are the reason of the global warning. Lets say polution from industries, toxic wastes on the sea and mostly cars are just normal stuff. Cows are the real issue here

  1. Nintendo Or Nothing

AMAZING! The Wii version almost looked Nintendo 64-ish in this video compared to the Wii U version. I am SO hyped for this game. It just might be the first Wii U game I pay full price for.

  2. Ah yes, the babies will praise Nintendo for this lololol! Then they claim Nintendo has “innovation”. Yeah so full of “innovation” they have to recycle the same lame tracks (and games) over and over and over and over. They can’t create new track from Nintendolalaland they just have to recycle the same old ones lololol. And the track doesn’t even have anything special to begin with, why recycle it? lololol. Just look at the simple environments (this is what Nintendo has to do to keep the framerate up, make the simplest low polygon environments, else the underpowered Baby U framerate will dip to a crawl lololol). Oh look, it’s the same tree copy pasted over and over and over lololol. At 0:10 it’s exactly the same windmill copy pasted again lololol, they too lazy to make a new one they just copy pasted it in a different place lolololol, exactly the same trees (and again and again lololol). Just like all the Mario games where they copy paste the same low polygon trees, same flowers, same enemies over and over and over. Sometimes they might scale the same 3D model to pretend it’s a different one but that’s it lololol. Then the same lame sound effects Nintendo is been using for 30 years, when will Nintendo upgrade their sound effects? Obviously never lololol. This is what “innovation” at Nintendo is all about lololololol.

    1. One instalment per console is not recycling or rehashing. It’s perfectly justified. You’re confusing Mario Kart with CoD and Fifa and Ass Creed.
But because you are a child, I’ll forgive you. With time you’ll know better.

    2. You’re a fuckin retard…lololololololololololololololo! I think we should do the world a favour and get your mommy to cut off your internet connection!

    3. You’re a fuckin retard…lololololololololololololololololol!!! We should do the world a favour and get your mommy to cut off your internet connection!

  3. Mario Kart Double Dash was the best Mario kart of all by far!! They should bring back drifting and the double concept from that game and apply it in new ways for Mario kart 9!! I’m super pumped for this one though, looks like nintendo’s best work in HD yet!
