Splatoon’s Very Last New Stage Will Be Added Later Today

Splatoon players can look forward to the addition of another stage later today, January 21, at 6 p.m. PT. Ancho-V Games is the Wii U shooter’s very last new map, bringing the total map count to 16. The new stage features PC fan-shaped propellers that can be inked to move portions of the floor. You can use them to exploit the stage’s verticality and gain the high ground over your opponents.

  1. And still no fucking octolings. If a hacker can do it. Why can’t you? Shouldn’t be that fucking hard to implement them.

    1. I believe it’s because of the gear. It’s a huge part of the game, and testing all of the gear on new characters in every stage is both time consuming and expensive, especially for post-game content.

  2. Jaded Professor Ridley Bowie X3 {R.I.P. David Bowie, the One & Only Goblin King! R.I.P. Alan Rickman, the Awesome Professor Snape!} says:

Only 16 stages. Okay. This is the first game of a new franchise so I’ll give it a pass for having so few stages to fight on.

    1. I DO wish there would be more, but I’ll take these 16 happily because *most* of them are good. Plus they need SOME stuff for the eventual Spla2n.

I highly recommend you at least rent or borrow the game if you have means to do so- there’s nothing quite like what you feel the first time you pop out of a wall to splat an unsuspecting opponent.
