I’ll take it!
Although I’m kind of scared as to where Iizuka draws the line in terms of lore and their brand, and who they’ll actually hire.
I personally want to retcon quite a few things that do not hold up these days.
It’s also bizarre to see a job listing like this on this site of all places.
In all honesty, I’m scared that the wrong person will get the job that many of us want, and Iizuka will just ignore the ideas of everyone else (the rest of the fanbase) after they’re hired.
Sega should have done this a long time ago.
I understand SEGA should have done this in one of their games a longtime ago, but now it looks like it is the right time for them to do this since they were late on doing so and their track record is improving. Let’s see how well they do with Sonic Frontiers once we see the sale records.
are you kidding?
sales “record” or sales data?.
it was overhyped, it’ll sell well enough.
What is your point?
Here’s my point .
Btw, nice profile pic.
Who’s that sonic character?
Reminds me of an old sonic cartoon.
Uh thanks. But, my profile is not related to this article.
Sounds like a good idea. I can think of other franchises that could use a lore master.
Like Fire Emblem, since Intelligent Systems seems to forget its lore half the time.
I mean Ian Flynn is already working for them as a writer; shouldn’t he already get that job?
They have one…. His name is Ian Flynn?
Not really, Flynn occasionally tells fans on the Bumblekast what the high-ups tells him about the “rules” of the lore, among other similiar topics, but he doesn’t have the official role of a loremaster.
I think its possible Flynn is interested in the role of loremaster, but he can just as well turn the offer down due to all the various responsibilities listed above, considering how he already have his hands full with not only the IDW comics but also was busy enough with Frontiers’ script writing (which can be just as important a role).
I enjoyed reading through this and picking up a few practical ideas. This online game highlights challenge levels and pattern recognition in a very easy-to-understand way.
