Hypatia, the team that put together the HD Legend of Zelda Wind Waker texture pack, have been hard at work developing a lovely arts and crafts style texture mod for the acclaimed Super Mario 64. There are tons of images on Hypatia’s Tumblr page so be sure to check them out.

Thanks, Nicky

  1. Arts and crafts are for babbies. Nintendo finally thought of a way to make mario even more baby. Change your diper baby, too bad nintedno doesn’t know babies poop there dipers and can’t do mods on poopy games. Grow up and play real manly games like ghosts and black ops. I’m not a baby anymore so i fon’t need babby games like a retard. #exposed

For your kind of comments I can imagine that you are what ? 14 years old ?? Get some education kid instead of thinking on shooting games. Go to school and get into some art classes so you can understand the world around you. I’m 28 years old and I’m a proffesional jazz player, I like to delight myself with real art in video games like Mario, Donkey Kong Tripical Freeze, Zelda and of course l ‘ll delight myself with Mario Kart 8 among others ;) you should try them all, they’ll give you great feelings that shooters games will never let you feell. have a nice day!

      1. Lol, i confess:
I am 28 years old and also a professional musician. I own a Wii U and a 3DS and no other systems.
I sometimes make posts like these for entertainment. The “character” I am portraying in that comment is collage of the comments I read on absolutely every article on this site. Typos, and hashtags to boot. You can call me immature, after reading news on this site for over two years, this is how I deal with the user generated content, I may even be supporting my own belief or delusion that the rest of the comments of this nature are made by the same types of people. Trolls. If nothing else, it seems to inspire a furious amount of support from fans, who brilliantly(and sometimes not so brilliantly) defend and refute the statements of (possibly false)FPS addicted teens.
Either way, I would normally not reveal such a thing, but it is too coincidental to share the same age and profession. Shred on.

  2. I always thought Nintendo should do simple rehashes like this and put them on the eshop. Imagine classic games with slightly updated sprites and textures. They could include an option to play the original or the update with the purchase, charging let’s say double regular eshop games cost. I think they’d make a fortune.

  3. I really like this! It compliments the polygon count well and makes it look like origami!

I’m actually making a texture pack myself where I’m just trying to keep the same art style of the original but higher resolution.

  4. Am I the only one who wants to see a Super Mario 64 HD Remake? I’d love to see that. I was playing SM64 on the Wii the other day but I think it could use some fine tuning, especially in the controls. Remake it in HD with all the content from the DS port, add some new stuff like Waluigi and bam.

  5. Well, much to my surprise, computers had gotten faster and more powerful (duh) and
the software had grown to take advantage of all that new power.

If I use pre-made loops (not made by myself) I would still do original things; if I use a synth loop, then I
program the beats. The top of the unit has one vent hole through which one 12ax7 tube gets cool
air and I also suspect because they wanted to accent the fact that this unit has a tube preamp section.
