Here’s The Accolades Trailer For Kirby And The Rainbow Curse

Nintendo has released the accolades trailer for Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, which is available now for Wii U. The game finds players controlling Kirby by using the touch screen on the Wii U GamePad in a world made of clay. By drawing lines on the touch screen with the stylus, the player creates Rainbow Ropes that will help Kirby navigate obstacles and defeat enemies. In addition, compatible amiibo can be used once a day per stage to power up Kirby with special abilities.

  1. It’s a fun and unique take on the Kirby franchise that unfortunately the majority of Wii U owners and gamers in general will overlook.

I haven’t put too much time into the game but I’m liking it. My only criticism about the game is that it probably would have worked better on 3DS. For sure it looks great on Wii U but what good are those spectacular claymation animations if you have to keep your eyes locked on the gamepad almost the entire time?

Still, I’m having fun. Hope to be able to try out the multiplayer mode soon.

    1. the multiplayer is really fun but makes most levels stupid easy! I don’t think there is a difficulty spike the more players you have! this is extremely helpful in boss fights.

    2. But how would that be better on the 3DS? You would not be able to look at the incredible graphics using the 3DS, because it doesn’t output HD like the WIi U does and you would still have to focus more on the bottom screen.

      1. Because I would prefer to see the full gameplay on both screens over the graphics. It could have been in another art style. The game could have been built slightly differently for the 3DS too instead of having the full picture on the bottom screen, just a layout of the level and obstacles that you have to draw around.

But it’s fine. Just a little awkward having something on the large screen and not being able to really look at it.

  2. I still would like to hear why this will be released 6 months later in the eu. If it wasn’t for multiplayer, this game would indeed be a better fit for 3DS, but I’m glad it has mp.

  3. 3DS bottom touch screen would leave the superior top teen unused. That would feel backwards and not an improvement over the DS. The gamepad at least can maintain the fidelity of the art style and gives the player much, much more room to draw lines. Why move it back to a tiny touchscreen? It’s a touchscreen game, not a TV display game. Argue for the iPad if u must complain about the gamepad touch screen.

    1. Score reviews aren’t only for mature games. Written reviews are just as important, if not more, because they go into better detail and description vs. “5 out of 5.”

  4. Fantastic game and cheap too with fun mp

This game was made for hd tvs get over the fact it’s not on the 3ds people

  5. This should have been on the leap frog home console. Nintendo! Enough with the sissy games already! Where the hell is their 1st class gameplay? I know they must have an agenda. I wonder if they might be too tired though. They are just getting old and cranky I bet. They just need to be refreshed. I could help.

    1. Well said. This is just a rehash game just to give the analysts a reason why the gamepad works outside of the norm. It’s total bullshit

      1. It’s not rehash. Rehash would mean that the game is using mechanics that have been beaten to death, yet you then say the game”give(s) the analysts a reason why the gamepad works “outside of the norm”…”

You kind of prove your own point wrong in the same post…

Also, making games that use features “outside the norm” is what game companies are supposed to do. If Nintendo just stuck to making the same old games.. well, then we would have a lot of rehash lol!

    1. I’m a sad little piece of shit who got attempted to be aborted but my mom didn’t manage to put me back in her hole. :’D

  6. In 10 years people will still be talking about this game unlike the order
